Children In Need and Training Weekend update

Dear Club Members,

Children In Need

On Friday 18th November we will be raising funds for Children in Need again by having a cake sale and also asking you to pay £1.00 to wear your pyjama bottoms to judo instead of your judo trousers!  We did this last year and it was a very funny sight.

Bring lots of extra pennies and go home with some tasty cakes and biscuits and dont forget to wear your pyjama bottoms in as well and pay your £1.00 for the pleasure.

Club gains new Black Belt

Congratulations to Wayne Lander who took part in the Budokwai Dan Grading earlier today and acheived his Black Belt.  Wayne needed just 40 more competitive points to secure the coveted grade and did that in style earlier today.  Points are awarded at certain tournaments and special Dan Gradings for each contest won against other Brown Belts or higher grades, but only those won by Ippon (10 points) or a Waza-Ari (7 points) count.
